Guillory's Deli and Tamales

"Their hot plates and chicken were good in the past. So gave them a shot at a 3 meat 50 count sandwich tray. For almost $1 a sandwich, these sandwiches have barley any meat. And most of the meat is sliced thick. Very disappointed with these sad sandwiches order for late pickup and received at 4 pm on January 12th. Not like it could be a super Busy day in the kitchen as an excuse for such sad performance."

"Guillory’s has great food!! Hot Tamales, roast beef po boy, chicken, Stuffed artichoke, and the daily specials are delicious!! Red Beans, Meat Balls and spaghetti, stewed chicken, baked chicken all are delicious!! A++++"

"Fried chicken is amazing. Made to order. Tamales are good but need more sauce. Bathroom is hard to get to because you have to walk through the kitchen. People are super friendly. Not much parking available"

"*** BEWARE *** If you order ANYTHING on BUN, you will be charged for the LARGER of a PoBoy sandwich. I ordered (2) sandwiches on bun and was charged for the 11” size. You couldn’t charge me for BUN size sandwich or whatever the next size up was 7”? I knew there was a reason that I had stopped doing business with you. The ONLY reason I went back today was because I was not feeling well and this place is real close to home. NEVER AGAIN will YOU ROB ME! Especially when INFLATION is as bad as it is!!!!!!!!! Pay Attention to your bill!!!"

"Updated August 28, 2023: I've been back and had the fried shrimp poboy and ham and cheese poboy. Both were delicious. I guess just stay away from the tacos... I want to love this neighborhood deli/food mart/hole in the wall because I'm doing a project in the area and keep passing it. I got the 3 taco and 3 tamale special. The tacos were fair to poor and for a place with tamales in the name, I was disappointed. They are average at best. However, I will definitely come back and try other items such as their nice looking poboy selection. On a positive note, the ice cold bottle of Barq's was delicious."
