"Ordered off of DoorDash because we didn’t feel like leaving the house. Spent 25.00 on a dish that looked like it was thrown together. It was cold, no sauce definitely did not have 25.00 worth of food in it, did not look like the photo on DoorDash. Had to drive to the location and they tell us the sauce was just not put in the container, it’s more than just the sauce, it’s the whole dish who would spend there money on that. Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely needs new employees. Was left on hold for over 20 minutes. A total of 50 minutes to get a dish remade. Trinidad is rude and disrespectful. No Customer Service at all. Wonder if these employees even know there ABC’s. Cause they sure as hell don’t know a thing about customer service."
"What has happened to Copeland’s? The Shrimp Louie Salad is completely different. What used to be fresh iceberg lettuce, large chilled shrimp, avocado, and a housemade thousand island dressing that was to die for is now a bag of spring mix, tiny watery shrimp, NO avocado, too much pepper, and WHAT is that dressing? The Shrimp and Tasso Pasta has the same cream sauce, but the tasso is stringy. It used to be diced and fried a little bit. It was delicious, but promoting it as a dish made since 1983 misrepresents. The Crash & Burn was reliable. Dessert was good. Thank you. Our servers meant well, but the flow and timing was way off. Way off. For the price point this was disappointing."
"Let me just start by saying I really do love the food here. The manager, Joe, was very sweet and accommodating after everything that transpired. We had waited for over an hour at the carryout parking spot which doesn't include when we ordered the food. Within that 1+ hour an older lady, Becky, with long grey/silver hair asked for our name 3 times then the 4th time she came up we asked how much longer and/or what were we waiting for she stated that the restaurant was not a fast food restaurant ... this was an hour and half at this point. After I guess a shift change another younger girl just didn't want to have anything to do with our questions so she threw her tablet up in frustration at us. That's when I got frustrated and went inside. Keep in mind I have a sprained ankle and walking on crutches. Younger girl didn't want to open the door for me or anything by this point. I went in trying to be as nice as possible. The hostess was very sweet. I told her what was going on and I wanted to speak to a manager. She got him and I explained to him what was going on and what was said. He got us our food but then when another girl came out she asked me if I wanted a cheesecake. I told her we already ordered two. They were under the "hot" food. The manager requested the young girl to put it in a separate bag (common sense) and he proceeded to give us two extra desserts and a box of biscuits that just came out of the oven. Even though the manager made up for most of it at the end it still didn't make up for the rudeness. I'm sorry but my family and I will not be back to this copelands because unfortunately this was not our first time experiencing this."
"My family was in ICU. I wanted something tasty for lunch. I was so happy to dine here because the establishment in Lake Charles, La closed down. The location was located near a very busy mall. The entrees were perfect. The dessert popped into my mouth with such a pleasant after taste. Our server was one of the finest, upbeat. The chef’s skills were pretty good. I encourage you to look at my photos."
"The Clearview location is much better than the Kenner location. Our service was very good. The food was hot and delicious. We shared the crab beignets. I had the broccoli bites and chicken rene. The sauce on the chicken rene was delicious! It has mushrooms and crawfish. The 2 chicken pieces were a good size and a bit spicy but overall it was a delicious dish. The broccoli bites were disappointing. I thought it would be a whole floret fried with cheese & bacon. It was bits of broc with cheese in small balls. There was extra shredded cheese and bacon surrounding the balls in the bowl. They were good, but not enough broccoli flavor for me. We returned a few days later...I had the blackened chicken with cornbread dressing and crawfish tasso cream sauce. It was very delicious and a bit spicy. The portions are almost always very good. This is a very nice restaurant where you can dress up or go casual (no tank tops). Relaxed atmosphere but the music could be better. During the week, they have Happy Hour specials on appetizers. Half off of crab beignets, spinach dip, smoked tuna dip and the broccoli balls."
