"Tucked away on Esplanade Avenue in the heart of New Orleans, Buffa's is a gem that's about as hidden as a brass band in a library. On Sundays, this place turns into a jazz buffet extravaganza that’s so good, it’ll make your taste buds do the second line. Imagine a spread where the jazz is as smooth as the gravy on your biscuits and the mimosas flow like the mighty Mississippi. The atmosphere? It's like if your cool uncle's living room had a baby with a speakeasy, and they decided to throw a perpetual Mardi Gras party. The food lineup is a culinary jam session where classic brunch dishes hit all the right notes and then some. From eggs Benny that’s more balanced than a tightrope walker over Bourbon Street, to shrimp and grits that sing louder than a Bourbon Street busker, it’s a feast that even Louis Armstrong would tip his hat to. And let’s not forget the jazz – oh, the jazz! It’s live, it’s lively, and it’s the kind of toe-tapping, soul-soothing sound that could make a statue swing dance. So, if you’re looking to spice up your Sunday with a side of saxophone, Buffa’s is your ticket to a brunch that’s more New Orleans than a pothole on Frenchmen Street. Don’t walk, jazz shuffle your way to Buffa’s for a Sunday Funday that’s truly off the charts!"
"The food was very delicious and hot when we got it. The service we were receiving on the bar side was awful along with the music so loud you couldn't hear anything when someone spoke. I think the woman who was behind the bar was having a bad night but she was awfully rude which made the atmosphere on that side of the establishment hostile. I ended up switching to the other side of the restaurant to hear the live music and paying a cover while I waited almost two hours for my food to come out with little service still being provided on the music side of the restaurant. However, the atmosphere was much more friendly. I ended up grabbing things I needed from the restaurant because the employees weren't really able to help. Its okay, I think it was an off night. If you want to wait long for service but have good food go here. Honestly there are other establishments in the area that have the same, if not better food with kinder service."
"This unassuming dive bar has, in my opinion an incredible red beans and rice. They have live music and a few casino machines to play. Def a late night eats bar with a good crowd to watch."
"Buffa's is a great dive like bar. We stayed nearby on Burgundy and enjoyed dropping in here late at night for a quick drink and some food. The bartender is really friendly. Food pretty good I wish I could put some of that Blu cheese slaw on some hot chicken. Ambiance is low lights and good music. Prices are also pretty good for this area to. I'll be sure to drop in on my next visit and try the raved about burger but really enjoyed the Avenger and patty melt"
