"I'll never shop the Royal Standard again! Shopping wall fountains I stopped in to the Royal Standard on Perkins and inquired about the sale of pedestal concrete wall fountain in the Royal Standard courtyard. The sales associate went to the fountain and quoted me a purchase price as displayed on the attached tag of $275.00 I thought this was a fair price considering the size of the fountain but noticed a few blemishes within the concrete and asked if she could reduce the price. She then asked what i was willing to pay and i said $200.00 She then called her manager discussing the fountains defects and mentioned the fountain has gone unsold for over a year. I then purchased the fountain with the condition that the green water would be cleaned from the basin and the pump would be tested prior to pickup. I received a call the next day at 10am advising me that it was ready for pickup....however at 2pm i received a 2nd call saying it was sold to me miss-priced. Even though i already purchased it on my Visa - I would be required to pay an additional $95 prior to pick up. This fountain was tagged at a $275 retail price. I negotiated and purchased it at $200. They then demanded an additional $95. This is NOT GOOD BUSINESS! If you tag merchandise or bar code merchandise incorrectly and admit error...it's not the customers responsibility. I demanded a refund and requested the owner call me to further discuss. Of course, I haven't received any call back and caution anyone from shopping at such a poorly run business. WHO DOES BUSINESS LIKE THIS ANYWAY? Steve, A local BR resident for 50 years."
