"My LG washing machine was under two months old when I experienced an issue. After being told I had to use the manufacture's warranty, I went through a nightmare with the first company they tired to set me up with. I was then scheduled with Mascal, Inc.. From the first call, the scheduling, the day before appointment call, and then the service call itself, everything went perfectly. Very friendly and professional. If you need service, I highly recommend them."
"Horrible customer service - Service technician (Otis) no shows for an appointment and does not call to give an update explaining delay. Main office never called to explain for his no show either. Office personnel (Rene/Charlene) were not very helpful at all and rude on the phone also to myself and my wife. The excuse I heard was they are overwhelmed with customers and are unable to handle to the excess calls and they have only 1 technician who services LG products. Poor customer service. Poor leadership. Poor management. I don't know why someone even remains employed when they fail to service a customer, when providing service to customers is the life-blood of their business. In addition, this is a company that is apparently contracted with The Home Depot, to service any equipment where an Extended Service Protection Plan has been purchased. I hope THD cancels their relationship with Mascal Inc., since they are not reflecting the level of "Excellent Customer Service" it expects of its associates in the store, as well as from those companies that want to affiliate themselves with THD and their customers."
"LG had us call them about an AC unit we had just purchased DOA from the box. When the person from Mascal picked up, I was very rudely informed that they don't work on air conditioners anymore, didn't know why LG referred them to us, and didn't know why I was calling them. After I expressed my offense that I was being insulted as an unknowing customer, the person was apologetic. Simply put, yelling at a customer, even one that was completely ignorant of your service areas, because they were referred to you is not and will never be good business practice. It is horrible customer service. A polite refusal and simple explanation were all that was required Mascal, not yelling at me over the phone about a mistake made by LG. I grew up a long time ago and will not be scolded and yelled at as if I were a child. Not exaggerating, I was yelled at during the opening seconds of the phone call. I'll never recommend this company to anyone. Ever."
"We were referred to Mascal by LG for repair of our refrigerator. Mascal replaced the compressor Jan 27, 2015 for labor charges of $449 and 42 days later it stopped cooling. LG agreed to pay for a follow service call and called and set up the appointment. They returned after a 2 week wait and diagnosed a freon leak in which they would have to return to put in a dye filter. The technician told us they would not return unless we paid the $99 service call. LG phoned them back and the secretary told them that they were refusing payment from LG because we were cash customers. The technician returned and put on the dye filter and said he would be back in a week or so to check to see where the freon leak was. After waiting 2 weeks, we phoned them on April 6 at which time Mascal said they would not be returning. We have been dealing with this company for a period of almost 3 months and our refrigerator is still not working. I have never worked with another company that gives such poor service as Mascal. The only reason I continued to deal with Mascal was because they were the only LG authorized service dealer in our area. BEWARE customers that are dealing with appliances under warranty!"
