"Food was good, place is clean & cute.. HOWEVER, customer service is TERRIBLE! Not sure if it’s a racist thing but every time I walk in, I’m never greeted. First time I went, walked in, no greeting, nothing! Didn’t know if I had to order first or sit and be waited on! Ppl behind the counter were walking back & forth didn’t even acknowledge me until I went and stood right in front of the cash register, a girl came over and just stood in front of me MUTE she didn’t even say Hello! Can I help you? What would you like to order? NOTHING. It was so awkward, we just left. Customer service is KEY when running a business. Maybe this is why clientele is minimal."

"Sign on the front window says 7 AM for opening time along with a very tiny handwritten note that says "drive thru." I waited in the drive thru for THIRTY MINUTES with no response along with calling the business several times. Tapped on the window. The employee was clearly there as her vehicle was parked in the back. Atleast five vehicles came by then left because they didn't have time to wait. Horrible customer service and no way to run a business. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND."

"Better off going through McDonalds or Sonic for coffee. Specialty drinks like lattes require sugar that they don't have so they use sweet n low for all coffees. I'm assuming they give themselves a 50% tip on orders because the total came out to much higher than the sum of prices from their menu. Definitely not worth the price. This isn't isolated, I've tried it so many times wanting to support a local coffee shop but it's just not worth it and life is too short to spend good money on mediocre coffee or food."

"Food has so much potential. It was hard to stay objective because the atmosphere wants to persuade you that the food is better than it is. For now, food is okay. Pretty sodium induced. Love the place though. Interior is balanced and comforting. Coffee is good. Service was great and they seem to want to be there. What through me off was the "gratuity". I ate alone and my ticket was $38. I've never been charged a 15% gratuity for a party of one. So beware of that. I tipped my person $16 cash already and had that extra 15% gratuity on top. I probably won't come back again because of that business model, but worth at least a try."

"This is an extremely wonderful restaurant. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The staff is exceptionally nice and caring. The owner is very personable and very interactive with the guests. The food is some of the best I've eaten . I highly recommend Chalkboards!!!"
