"Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews. I’m a truck driver and any time I pass through I have to stop and grab some food from this place. And the food is priced well"
"Nasty place and food was terrible so was the service. We got our food to go and when we got home it was half of what we ordered . . The cashier was on her phone talking to friends that was cursing like crazy and had it on speaker. First time and last time ever eating there! The place needs to be closed down. I bet there are tons of violations in there as nasty as it was ."
"Not real southern food. Coleslaw has no seasoning, just mayo and cabbage. Red beans and rice was very sub par. Fish wasn't bad, but it was salty and not catfish. I can see why it is not a Sam's Southern Eatery anymore. Need to pull all of their trademark stuff out before they get a bad name from this place."
"I almost didn’t walk in when I saw ”Cash Only” posted everywhere. But I tried it anyway because as a tired and hungry truck driver, I was hoping for some good catfish. Well I ordered 4 pieces of catfish, fries, red beans and rice and hush puppies. I got 2 catfish fillets and 2 fish sticks that were very tough and rubbery like had been extruded from a machine . Very hard to bite. And tasted like very strong cod fish or something. The “hushpuppy” was a dinner roll or something similar of bread , not fried corn bread. I only ate it because I was tired and hungry. I don’t recommend eating here. Looks like this place is in the process of going out of business……Catfish is usually really good anywhere in Louisiana, but not here!"
