"I had a mother cat have baby's in my back sew! of my rental home. I need help. I didn't have the money or the place to help them.. I called, texted and left messages. Any no one responded. You so-called helpful people that call yourself animal lovers. I could never got get help for all of you.. Like most places I tried get to help me I had no results. Ever one said, sorry or never gave anything back from you. I left texts messages called and no one care.d Weeks and week and no one helped! The vets in The Dalles, Hood River areas never answed and when they did it was no we can help. Both Washinton and Oregon did not give me the time. Week went by it started to rain and get cold. All I could do is secure this tiny baby's and feed the mama and water her. I didn't have the resorts to do anything else.. They died. Thank you! You vets its all about money. Home at last thanks for nothing. and all the vet in the area. You call your self vets but it's all about how much money you can get.. you study years with animal so you can say sorry we can help, call a volunteer! Volunteers why aren't you answering your phone text or calls. Rescue people where is your heart. You all will get old some day and hopefully there will be someone that will not say no to you. The lords says you will weep what you sow!"

"When I adopted my cat Evie (a little over a year ago) I had a great experience with Columbia Gorge Cat Rescue. I had been thinking about adopting a cat for awhile when I first heard about this place. When I called to ask about their available cats and kittens they were fairly quick to respond. I got to meet Evie at her foster home before I decided to adopt her. The foster home was very nice and she was well taken care of. When it was time for Evie to come home, Columbia Gorge Cat Rescue made the adoption process very easy. I highly recommend this rescue to anyone who is thinking about adopting a cat."

"We adopted two 8-week old sister kittens who appear to be Maine Coon or Maine Coon mixes. The girls are very well socialized and their foster parents clearly took good care of them. We love them to pieces and are happy to know an organization like CGCR exists. In my experience, it is not uncommon to see bad reviews for shelters and rescues online. It just goes to show what a thankless job it can be. These volunteers are doing a great service, and I encourage everyone to consider adopting or donating to their cause."

"I haven’t had a good experience here. I adopted a sick cat not knowing he was sick. When you adopt an animal you should have the choice of adding a healthy or sick animal to your family. Well this wonderful, sweet kitten has a great home with a family who loves him so much but we didn’t choose to adopt a sick cat. I spent 2 hours with him and knew immediately something was terribly wrong. He’s 4 months old and when I contacted Columbia gorge rescue they acted like they had no clue. Anyways, I sure hope they learn how to communicate better with the animals (and humans) because I’m not impressed the the staff."
