"Scathingly poor management and design - it’s like elementary school kids designed a park. Sure, it looks fine, but maybe they should have known what they were doing before throwing away citizens’ money. Want to use rocks? Yeah, let’s use rocks. It will cost a lot of money to purchase, obtain, and ship so much weight here, but we have decided it will be ok. It turned out that using rocks in this fashion is against code, so they have to pay to get rid of what was expensive. Great process to take action when you have no idea what you’re doing. Other designs and problems have happened as well. The fountain has something wrong with it, so it needs to be fixed by disassembling everything and re-doing things. Last time I drove by the swings were surrounded with yellow tape. Oops, I meant the stoopid wood swings that are attached to each other and facing different directions so you can talk. Keep the graffiti away and we’ll see if it reaches a decent, acceptable status. edit: The swings are now wrapped so you can’t really see them. Hopefully this is a sign that they’re becoming aware of what is silly, and not really functional, and what should be altered/fixed. Time will tell.. edit2: The swings no longer exist, but the remnants (large wooden "swing" structures) are still there.. with cheap tables underneath so you can sit calmly, and philosophically ponder Tigard's idiocy."
"This is a great little place but there is absolutely no coverings, awnings, no shade what so ever. It’s great if you love to hang in the sun for hours. I need a place to sit in some shade every now and then. Even my giant hydro flask just bakes in the sun and I can’t even pick it up cuz it’s so hot to the touch. But that’s the only con to this place. The rest are pros!"
"We love this park. Can not wait for the water feature to start! It is taken care of so well. I always see maintenance coming through and checking on bathrooms and emptying trash cans. They truly seem to care to make this a clean place for the community to congregation!"
"It was First Grand Opening. Lots of people, children, games, music. The only bad thing about it was having to wait nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes to get your food."
"Looks like a neat place! The road is a little close to the swings so I feel like I’m being watched. But that might get better when there are more people around, too. Stevens Marine right next to the picnic table sometimes has a compressor that makes some noise periodically but seems to be off more often than on."
