"Got there decently early and not too many people. Was leaving around 11 a.m., and the parking was getting pretty full. Trail was somewhat easy about 4.2 miles out and back to the falls. Only a few muddy spots, falls were nice."
"I've been coming here for decades now! Great talks from 4.5-13+ miles, depending on your desires. It will be muddy when training, but that's all part of the fun! There is pretty decent signage and maps, but depending on how far you plan to go, I'd make sure you are at least a little familiar with the details of your trip, or at least snap a picture of the map at the beginning for reference."
"Gorgeous hike through beautiful woods and only 2 miles to a tranquil waterfall. Only downside is the nearby firing range. Once you get a 3rd of the way through the hike the gunshots are barely audible."
"I really wanted to like this trail since it's close by, but man, what a disappointment. First off, theres a gun range nearby that is LOUD AF, we didnt stop hearing it for almost the whole hike. Not really a soothing nature sound, it was very jarring. Secondly, there was horse poop ALL over the trail. It's honestly a miracle none of of stepped in any, but we were watching like crazy to make sure we didnt. Thirdly, the waterfall?? it's not a waterfall at all. It is the tiniest little stream thats going over a few rocks. If you are someone that enjoys hiking to waterfalls, please know that this is NOT a waterfall at all. it's messy, ugly, and TINY. It does seem like a very well travelled trail and the trees are beautiful. So, its not a complete lost cause, but there are much better trails to go to in this area. I wont be back to this one."
"This is a lovely park to visit and the Mima falls trail is very doable. No extreme elevation changes, but checking out around the falls can be a little more challenging if you want to walk around the water. Lots of little critters around so keep your eyes open! There's plenty of parking, good signage, and the trail is well maintained. I'd absolutely recommend this trail if you have a nice afternoon to burn some time with."
