Red Lion Hotel Bellevue

"The hotel is in need of an update. The security key card locks on the exterior doors were broken. Anyone could walk into the building. The place had a odd smell, wallpaper is peeling off the walls, and paint was chipped. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was convenient."

"Red Lion is a solid low-price option in an otherwise expensive area. Given the location, it's probably a better trade-off to go somewhere either further or closer from Bellevue downtown. Room: Overall the room and linens were clean and tidy, though outdated. The room smelled noticeably of scent fresheners, enough so that it probably wouldn't be good if you're sensitive to odors. The shower had some trouble draining. Service: Front desk was nice and helpful with check in and out. That was pretty much all the service. As expected, there was no towel service or room cleaning during a three-day stay. A simple pre-packaged grab-and-go breakfast was available, but I was meeting up at coffee shops anyways, so I skipped it. Location: Red Lion isn't quite close enough to walk (25-30 minutes) to any of the restaurant / shopping / office districts in Bellevue, especially in bad weather. Since you'll have to drive around anyways and deal with the hassle of parking garages, you might as well go further away to get a better deal. Or go closer within true walking distance, so that you can spend money on a better hotel instead of parking garages."

"Amazing gem for value. Close to downtown Bellevue, has everything you need. parking is extra and its annoying but its downtown so parking is limited. grab and go breakfast is nice. Convenient close to freeways"

"It’s a good place to lay your head and that’s it. The place is in a good area to where you can visit the Bellevue Mall (Driving that is). It does offer a shuttle service to the mall but it runs until 10pm. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because we had a challenge of our reservation. Although, they did honor it but it took some time to do it. Thank God, we wasn’t hurting for time. Would I stay there again— yes I would!"

"Nice place to stay in Bellevue when on a budget. Friendly service at the front desk. I arrived early and the staff offered an early check-in. The low-rise buildings are a bit dated but the rooms are clean and laid out nicely."
