"Fun and Rocky beach with pretty views! Great walking trails. Very family friendly."
"Love Owen Beach. I come every Saturday for a cold plunge and it’s always such a calming place. If it’s a sunny day the place will be packed by 8 or 9am but there’s plenty of space. Also I never leave without seeing a seal and usually will see sea lions and eagles too. Sometimes a deer may even be wandering through."
"Rocky beach ⛱️ and there's kayak rental available. You can jog with miles and enjoy the vashon island view in the distance! Great for kids and fur babies hang out. Highly recommended. BTW Parking is always full.plan in advance"
"Beach rock is beautiful. Every rock is like it's already polished. Lots of people but the beach is spread out. Water is COLD w waves from the Puget Sound and big boats passing. Bathrooms are decent not so clean. Upper area accessible from the parking areas are all paved and level. Steps/paved ramps lead to semi sandy mostly rocky beach. All the rocks are smaller no big ones to trip over. The bigger building had volunteers selling canned water for $4.00 and some food items. Rent Kayaks per hour I believe it's $27 per hr for a single person kayak. Tandem (double seated) costs more of course. There were several scooters parked near the parking area that seemed to be free to use. The Promenade is a long paved walk along the shoreline. That may take you to the ferry. I didn't walk the full length. Must be pet friendly as there were lots of people with leashed dogs including myself. Someone even had their cat. Ok if you don't mind crowds. Nice if you have limited mobility as there is a lot of flat pavement and some seating and a nice breeze. Shaded areas at the pavement before the beach and cold cold water as the day progresses All in all it's a beach I will go back to. Bring a thick blanket and closed toe water shoes. And a leash and water bowl for Fido."
"At this much-loved destination along the salty banks of Puget Sound, you’ll enjoy water access, kayak rentals, real restrooms with soap, and a wide flat slide that my kids played on for almost to two hours. The parking lot is awesome with its extra-large pedestrian shoulder. As a parent, I appreciate having a nice safe pathway to corral the kids onto instead of navigating them through a domino line of parked cars that could reverse at any second. The play area and pavilion walkway have lots of flat concrete for strollers, wheelchairs, and bicycles, and there's also a concrete ramp down to the sand for a kayak launch or other accessibility needs."
