"Colton makes this place shine! This place is already interesting and great quality plants abound but great staff like Colton makes a HUGE difference in the total nursery experience! I bought several tall - 5' arborvitae to do a surprise replant of my dear Aunt's dead ones in her yard for a Christmas gift. I called. I knew the specific variety of the existing arborvitae. Colton told me what he had, which was exactly what I was searching for... And at the exact height I needed!. The price of these luscious, healthy plants were 1/3 less the price of any other local nursery that had these in stock, which is out of season. He rang me up after he loaded them perfectly in my truck, with such a great attitude! You're my new go-to!!"

"Ok, here is another lovely and family-owned nursery in Poulsbo, Washington, not quite as large as the Valley Nursery, but it's beautiful, unique, and packs a punch in its own special way. Olmsted isn't just a nursery but a landscaping company as well! There's a nice variety of flowers, plants, landscaping items (check out the beautiful and large variety of rocks they offer), yard décor and a cute store with many unique things to browse through and purchase, including produce and homemade items, such as items from the Amish. We purchased some chocolate and pickled eggs while we were there, and they were awesome!!!! Aside from the large charming, elegant pond they have, that holds loads of fish; I know I saw Koi in there, but their extraordinary, small to gigantic metal work that litters the property. The two ladies we had the pleasure of meeting working in the store were funny and very kind! Oh my gosh, if you don't visit this place for any other reason, see it for the metalwork! Honestly, this is a must-see place if you haven't already! And what is a better way to support a locally owned small business!!! You can find Olmsted at 19700 Viking Avenue NW, Poulsbo, Washington. Their location is near NW Liberty Bay Road. They are within walking distance of Napa Auto Parts and Integrity Roofing and Construction. Also within walking distance to Liberty Bay!!
