"This is a small, beautiful park, with great views for watching for whales, dolphins, and other wildlife! There’s restrooms and camping as well"

"Really pretty park with picnic tables and steps down to a beautiful cove. There is camping available for car camping, at least some sites that would accommodate at least small RVs and sites for campers arriving via bike or kayak as well."

"Spectacular views! Many sites are located on a sloping lawn with no privacy but did I mention the VIEWS! Other sites are tucked into the woods around the perimeter offering a little more seclusion and a short walk to the shared open grassy area with outstanding VIEW."

"Date visited 6/4/2023 Busy little park. Lots of camping spots. Not too busy at night. The beach on the north side of the park is shared with private property. Lots of amazing views. Sunset from anywhere here is beautiful. The real only con is the gift shop is way overpriced."

"One of the best sunsets I've seen on the west coast. And so nice to see with local folk milling about. We were here staying with a friend's aunt on the island. Our friend is married to another one of our friends. They actually met in elementary school (or middle?) and reconnected in college. That was in Michigan. And I bring up Michigan because one of the issues the west coast has with sunsets is that it is so rare to have cloud formations that show the glint of the sinking sun. Michigan? No problems there, they have clouds galore! Of all kinds! But this sunset at San Juan County Park was breathtaking, one of those you don't want to leave, but, when you really have to go, you keep looking over your shoulder, keep snapping quick photos, half regretting looking at the scene through your phone instead of enjoying the moment but half thinking you'll be grateful to have those photos later so can revisit that time, that time with friends, that time on this island, and share them with you :]"
