"The overall customer service is a masterclass in apathy, with an attitude that makes the DMV look like a haven of warmth. For those seeking a living experience that values tenants, this place is a textbook example of what to avoid. But for those brave enough to seek refuge here at the very least avoid customer service as much as possible, because attempting to communicate with them is like hopping on a roundabout that doesn't let you leave. so unless you like going in circles more than a Nascar drivers dog id suggest having conversations with something more helpful, like the crumbling walls of your new apartment. and even more dreadful than all of that is the water pressure, it is an absolute embarrassment. It's so weak, that the only way i can describe it is like being spit on by a dehydrated hamster."
"CON ARTISTS! STAY AWAY!!! ZERO STARS We lived here for almost 3 years. Why we stayed that long is because we were waiting to purchase a house and paid month by month after the lease was done, but we couldn’t take it anymore and moved. Problems first started as soon as we signed the lease! That should have been my first red flag. As soon as we signed, Mary, immediately told us differently than what was agreed upon and completed gave us wrong information. I figured, she’s new things like this happen. So I brushed it off and agreed to pay more. This was part of the deposit I believe. Fast forward to months and she kept misquoting us rent. So then again we had to pay for it. This was about $1000. I went to the manager (Kim) and she basically said, “tough luck, pay up.” I even showed her the emails between us. And never did they honor their word! This place is a joke and will do everything they can to try to take every penny you have. I was tempted on posting the evidence but I’ll just be the bigger person. This happened on numerous occasions and even when I went to talk to the manager (Kim) about accountability, nothing was done. Yeah, you still have to pay. Then she suggested a payment plan. There are rats that live in the neighborhood. I’ve seen them in the garbage cans, walking near the kids playground and near our apartment complex. So disgusting! I was thankful I lived on the 3rd floor. Mike is great. Really stand up guy. Only nice thing I have to say about this place. Pool is closed every other week. The first year we moved in, it was closed the entire summer! We were being charged for amenities we can’t even use… MOLD EVERYWHERE! I brought this up to management and they said it’s our responsibility. What a joke. My clothes had it, my shoes, my bags. I had to throw a few things away. When we finally moved out because they wanted to charge us 5k a month to live month-to-month (I also have evidence), I made sure to clean the place. We deep cleaned it and I for sure thought we would get our deposit back. WRONG! I called the number they gave me (grey star) and left 4 VM and nothing was returned back. It’s been almost 6 months and we haven’t heard back! STAY AWAY and save yourself money, time and peace. They should be ashamed of themselves. Lack of accountability, professionalism, customer service, empathy, class, ethics. I could really go on and on. I’m disgusted with them."
"Visiting their complex was a great experience. But after further research they have crazy fees and deposits. They charge a pet deposit, pet fee and pet rent That is not industry standard and could easily add up to 1k just for a pet for move in cost. I could only predict their likely hood they wont return your pet desposit or rent deposit. Nice people and all. But its a bit much i think."
"There are upsides and downsides to living there (pretty good maintenance people, awful parking policies), but once you start moving out they really nickel and dime you for every additional fee they can think of. We were able to get some charges removed once we showed photographic evidence that they were made up, but others we couldn't contest. The real kicker is that they now refuse to do any kind of rental verification for past residents, which can leave you pretty stuck when you're looking for a new place later on. It's unbelievable that, after you paid them tens of thousands of dollars, they can't be bothered to answer three questions over the phone. The takeaway here is that Greystar (who owns and manages this property) doesn't give a rip about you and is just here to extract as much money as they can with as little work as possible."
"This is our second year renting at Stonemeadow Farms and we will not be renewing for a third year. The management has declined drastically between our first and second year here. The biggest difference is that new management is trying to nickel and dime you as much as possible with hidden fees not clearly written in the lease. The maintenance here is clearly over worked and under staffed. Mike, our main maintenance guy, is great and he’s the only reason I am giving this place more than 1 star. He is really kind and does whatever he can to fix anything that breaks in our apartment. These buildings are very old and you can tell that they slapped some paint on the walls and put in new appliances to make the homes more aesthetic and like they have been remodeled…. Don’t let this fool you!! Everything is in poor condition and breaks easily. This place also has a serious mold issue and there is nothing being done to combat it. We’ve reported our issue with mold growing on our clothes, shoes, backpacks, etc inside our closet and they’ve done nothing but agree we have a moisture issue in our unit but not provide a solution. We have a dehumidifier (that we bought on our own so our stuff would stop getting ruined by mold growth) that we have to run CONSTANTLY and it fills within 5 days….. that is how bad the problem is. And again, nothing is being done to remedy the issue. Also, the pool is poorly maintained. It closes at least once a week due to a chemical imbalance. Plus, the kiddy pool has never been functional since we’ve lived here. Finally, the grounds are poorly maintained. Behind our building is straight mud due to lack of sunlight and sprinklers running every night where grass cannot grow. Every time we have guests over they comment on how awful the mud looks. Don’t get me started about when it rains….. that area turns into a straight swamp. Overall, I would not live here unless you like to hemorrhage money out constantly."
