"Great short hike in Anacortes. Dog and kid friendly. Plenty of parking."
"My absolute favorite sunset view. During my vacation in Anacortes I've been here at least 6 times to watch the beautiful sunset. It's a 15-20 min hike from the parking spot to the head. My pictures are from 4 different nights βοΈ"
"Who knew such a stunning overlook was so close to deception pass. I'll definitely be going back here in the near future. The system of trails located here makes it a very wonderful place to explore the diversity of the coastal plant life while. The hikes were also very manageable to the average skilled hiker."
"My first time visiting here and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I only took the Sares Viewpoint trail, but it was a pleasant little hike. It was very easy and didn't take long at all, I don't think it's even quite a mile in length, but it takes you to a beautiful rocky area with a bench and lovely views. There's a restroom at the trailhead/parking lot, the trails are dog friendly, but not horse or bike friendly, and there are several areas with very uneven ground so it isn't wheelchair friendly either."
"Quick hike through the woods and you end up on cliffs looking west over the Puget Sound and Straight of Juan De Fuca. The main trail to Sares Head is fairly easy and about 1 mile each way. There are roots and rocks in the trail so no wheelchairs. If you get onto some of the other trails they can be very skinny and right near cliff edges and also quite strenuous with steep inclines and declines. All the trails are fairly short. A friend and I spent 3 hours out here and walked almost all the trails."
