Reviews of Cranberry Lake Park
"Such an exciting place to hike and kayak. We saw eagles, kingfishers, and carnivorous plants (flycatchers) in the bog islands!"
"Have been to this little lake three times at different seasons. Many trails, but I only do the loop near the water trail. Very PNW forest, with salal, sword fern, Oregon grape huckleberry, evergreens etc. and large trees that have slightly burnt trunks from a fire decades ago. Trails can be just a bit rustic with rocks & roots. Parking for less than a dozen cars at NORTH end of lake, coming from 12th street."
"Amazing spot just before their Anacortes Ferry terminal. The road to might seem unassuming and residential. Parking is free and ample, might get a little crowded on nice weekends though. There is a little swimming area at the front of the lake.. and so many trails that loop all the way around. Along the trails there are cut offs which lead to nice view and rest points around the lake. This is a nice alternative to Washington Park, a little further down. Don’t miss this spot if you’re around the area."
"Very clean park. Trails can rocky and have roots across them. A great experience."
"Walked in area of double watershed in a misty rain. We saw swans and other native birds in beaver pond. Trail had puddles but we were in swampy area. Felt great to get outdoors in fresh air. Droplets of rain gave an added beauty to the trees and shrubs."
