"Dr Pierce and Nurse Eliza were not only medically skilled, but they were also absolutely wonderful in handling our cat. Despite being very peaceful at home, he tends to get very anxious at the vet and generally gives everyone there a hard time hissing and resisting. We were worried that the folks at L&L will have similar difficulty, but were pleasantly surprised. They treated him with obvious expertise in calming an anxious cat, and were able to do a very thorough examination including X-Rays and manipulating his injured knee without any drama. Dr Pierce gave us such a detailed diagnosis and prognosis, and everyone at the clinic was so kind and competent that we wished they would become our cats' regular vet. Alas, they specialize only in urgent care, for which we highly recommend them, obviously."
"Our almost 10 year old Berner suddenly showed no interest in eating, and our vet recommended we take Gus to L&L Animal Urgent Care. As most pet owners know, finding an urgent care to get into quickly isn’t easy these days. L&L answered our call quickly and were accommodating in getting us in. Dr. Pierce and her team were thorough and efficient in their diagnostics and explanation in what was happening. Unfortunately a week later, we ran out of options and had to say goodbye. The team at L&L made an unbearable experience somewhat manageable. They were so kind, professional and patient, explained things well and got us through tough goodbyes. If you have pets I highly recommend them on your speed dial!"
"My kitty was attacked by an animal severely injuring his left eye. We tried to care for this at home, but when it became clear it was not getting better and needed to be brought to a hospital, my vet recommended L&L. I was swiftly driving to L&L while on the phone (hands-free speaker) with the front desk. She took down all of my information. She texted me a link to the online form where I could put in what was needed and sign T&C. Once in the parking lot, I quickly filled in the form and walked into the clinic my poor kitty in a crate; his eye was very bad at this point. They knew who I was, had me in the system, and got me in an examination room within minutes. The vet tech was quick to ascertain the severity, take care of some of the basic medical needs, clean up, hydration, and get the vet into the room very quickly. After a thorough yet swift examination, the vet, Dr. Stephanie Stoegbauer, walked me through the alternatives. Her assessment was based on her hands-on approach and the tests she could perform on-site. The orbital lobe was ruptured. It was very damaged, and my kitty was in pain. She expressed the likelihood of short and long-term outcomes, the cost for each option, and her expert opinion of what was best given my needs. We came to our decision. I had to navigate my family conversation based on this and Dr. Stoegbauer patiently but with a due sense of urgency. She cut to the chase, polite but stern. It was much appreciated. She had my kitty's best interest in mind. We opted for enucleation. She provided a ballpark cost, very reasonable, and after all was said and done, the estimate was within a few dollars of what she estimated. I signed the forms at the desk; they were all nice and supportive. They took him in and got him prepped for surgery. I was able to pick him up later that day. He was no longer in pain but would, of course, need aftercare at home. The whole team was amazing—the phone conversations at the very start. The online form was great. No glitches. The front desk, the triage, the diagnosis (spot-on). Once Dr. Stoegbauer was "in" doing the surgery, it was clear that her diagnosis was accurate, the eye could not have been saved, and had we opted to wait for veterinary ophthalmologists to see Louie and have them try to save the eye, Louie would have continued to be in pain for who knows how long, I'd have paid 5x as much and the outcome would have been the same. Eye removal. It was clear Dr. Stoegbauer knows her stuff; a seasoned expert. Their ability to schedule, prep, and admit Louie for urgent surgery, follow-up, pick-up, and aftercare instructions was incredible. As I walked out to my car with Louie in the crate, the vet tech held open my trunk and took another look. The Elizabethan collar looked askew, and Louie bumped his head against the front gate. She said, "Hang on." She brought out some towels, rolled them up, opened the door, and placed them strategically on the sides and in front to prevent Louie from smashing his face against the gate. She is an expert at patient transport and everything else she does. Louie was a bit out of it, so his squirming around in the crate while I was driving could have easily happened. His stitches healed well, is fully recovered and he gets along fine as a pirate! GAR! :-) . The staff, front desk, vet techs, and Dr. Stoegbauer were proactive and extra careful every step of the way. The "patient" transfer was another example of going above and beyond. I would not have noticed the collar or what Louie was doing then, nor would I have thought of this extra precaution. Imagine all that and him damaging it again on the way home! Amazing. like an episode of Grey's Anatomy. #teamwork They took that kind of care of my dear pet ...and me. THE BEST!"
"A big thank you for the care my dog Scout received when her normal vet was unable to see her. Everyone in the office was so kind and I appreciate the care she was given. I would highly recommend and it’s nice to know there is such a reliable urgent care in the area. They even gave her a blanket while we waited on her results. Thanks again L&L Animal Urgent Care."
"My dog needed urgent care and could not be seen by our normal vet. We were recommended L&L. They got my dog Thor in quickly and couldn't have been nicer. Dr. Stephanie was very gentle and loving with her patient. Gabby the vet tech was attentive and sweet. Sydney at the front desk provided great care and love to my animal. Needless to say Thor did not leave traumatized by any means and left with a wagging tail. I'd highly recommend this clinic based on their care, attentiveness, cleanliness, and kindness of their staff. Only downside was my bill, but you get what you pay for. ;)"
