"Do not ever go here. Expect subpar service customer, technology issues (only got Canvas access 2/13 Japanese classes), quarterly begging for your class to continue, inconvenient registration for working adults (cmon.. Continuing Education and you only work reg business hours?), zoom access issues (missed a few classes just cause zoom would not let me in), etc. They will happily collect your money and actually enforce their timelines and terms on you. I only kept assisting as teacher was phenomenal, now that she is retiring, this place is an administrative shitshow... Run away."
"Bellevue College is a public institution, and funded by our tax dollars. Continuing education programs have always been an important part of our community. I was shocked to learn that they are gutting continuing education programs by requiring unrealistic minimum requirements for classes. Why Bellevue College has suddenly decided that this program is an optional part of their responsibilities, is beyond me. And to do gut the program in such a passive aggressive way. This also lacks the visibility required of a public institution. It is too bad that Bellevue College's Board of Trustee is filled with people who have no background in education, and want to just pad their CVs."
"I had an exam here at the Pearson View testing center. The staff, especially the Asian lady, is super rude and unhelpful. When I checked out, she didnt say anything and she was so focused texting to someone else by using her phone out on the desk. I asked her what to do, but she simply said that I need to write the check-out time without taking a look. I didnt know where to sign, so I had to flip over the pages to find my name. The whole time, she didnt even care. I dont expect anything from the staff but at least she needs to stay professional when someone is checking in and out."
"(1/4/18 2:30pm) I am new to BC and went to the Testing Center to take a Math Placement Exam. I was not welcomed in a way that I expected. I arrived at the front desk and a white haired older woman "greeted" me in the proctored exam area. I explained why I was there and she looked at me like I was stupid. She literally asked me three times "who are you taking the test for" in the snarkiest voice and I had no idea what she meant... apparently she was trying to ask me what SCHOOL I was taking the test for. With the worst attitude she stated "well I have no idea how to administer that test". I showed her the e-mail from Maria who is located at "Testing Services" on the main campus (I guess I assumed that the customer service was emailing me from the main campus and that my test was at a TESTING CENTER). She looks at the e-mail and says to me "well maybe you should give Maria a call and figure that out". Excuse me?! For the money I'm spending to attend this school, I expected someone to actually HELP ME. I will gladly take my business and money to another Testing Center just to avoid this lack of customer service."
"Environment is pretty calming. Nice variety of classes to get those job certifications. Atrium is relaxing and spacious. Computer stations are conveniently placed in certain areas of the building."
