"i've had two pets put down here in the past year. both times after the vet had given the euthanasia and left the room. someone came in to ask us a question. call me crazy but i think it is common courtesy to not interrupt a person when they are holding their dying pet. i'm so beyond upset that my last moments with my pets where interrupted. what's the questions i was asked you may ask? well they give you paperwork to fill out prior to putting your pet down. this paperwork includes a list of after care options to choose from. when you leave the paw print impression box unchecked. they make sure you don't want that. well, i didn't check it because i didn't want it. i even told them in person i didn't want it. i should have known after the fist time this happened, but i thought it was just a fluke. but it wasn't and they still ask when your pet is seconds away from dying. they also ask AGAIN when you come to pick up your pets ashes. these people are rude and inconsiderate. this was the last straw in a long list of complaints i have with this clinic. i will not be bring anymore pets to this place."
"Now I remember why we stopped coming to this office. The communication has always sucked. Just like not knowing that if it's been 3 years since my dog had been there last, she can't be seen ever again. Even though, this "policy" started last time we were there. And they did NOT tell us, as per usual. Its worth going to Scappoose or even Portland to the vet's office at this point."
"i've been going to this hospital for over 6 years and i'm happy that i have no more pets to bring to the only option in my area. i had a pet put down here recently. the sympathy card they sent me had my name spelled wrong, twice! it's a very common name and i've only ever seen it spelled one way. this among other things, proves that at least at the intern/receptionist level this place is extremely disorganized. when i've communicated through emails the interns/receptionists never get my information to the doctor or on my pet's chart correctly. they never have the age of my pets right, even though i tell them every single time i visit. last time i was there i told the intake person what was going on with my pet and what i had been doing. and when i over heard her relaying the info to the vet through the paper thin walls, she left out important facts and i heard the vet ask her if i had been doing "so and so..." she said, "no i didn't ask". which is correct, she never asked, but that is because i had JUST TOLD HER that i did and she wasn't listening, even though so was typing and going "uh huh, mmmm yeah..." if you've ever been here you've had this person and know who i'm talking about. they also have gotten records between my two pets confused. so many times i've called and made an appointment with one vet and was told my apt. was with a certain vet, when i get there they switch vets on me without prior notification, they just surprise you and assume you'll be ok with that. this is very upsetting. this list could go on and on. i will say that Dr. Lewis Fowler, the one time i've ever had him, is compassionate and takes his time to explain and communicate. Everyone else i've had the misfortune of dealing with does not have people skills or empathy and they all possibly boarder the lines of high functioning sociopaths that or they are all dipping into the medicine cabinets or generally think they are too good for their jobs."
"Had several good experiences and was dropped as a client for not coming in enough. The last visit i was unable to get my working Mal an exam because the doc was only wanting to use a heavy handed approach and got frustrated when my dog wasn’t responding well. Told the doc to stop and relax and the rest of the visit was fine. It’s a shame there aren’t more local clinics when repeat customers are shunned."
