"Last year, when my furnace failed, Smart Choice showed up the same day, fixed it, and told me that I would get the price of that repair off of new furnace if I chose to purchase one in the next month. "I called Smart Choice Heating & Cooling yesterday to schedule a diagnostic on my furnace to figure out why the heat wouldn't kick on. I'm someone that normally does all of my own home repairs, but after doing all of the diagnostics I knew how to do on a furnace to no avail, I knew it was time to call in the pros. I spoke with Jen in the office to see when they could make it out, and to my surprise, they had an opening the next day! I asked how much diagnostics would cost, and she informed me it would be a flat rate of $147, whether it took 20 minutes or 3 hours. As someone who works in the home professional industry myself, I know that getting anyone out to your house for less than $150 is a God send! Fast forward to today, and a tech named Brandon called me at about 8am to confirm I was home and let me know he could be there in about 15 minutes. He showed up on time and was friendly and professional. I told him the diagnostics I had done, and then he got to work looking at everything. As it turns out, my circuit board has a faulty connection. Brandon was able to get it working by jiggling a wire. He recommended replacing the board and said he could check to see if he had one in the van, but I said I'd probably rather replace it myself to save money. I asked him what the cost of the board was vs. what they would charge to swap it for me, and it was reasonable, but since I'm plenty capable, I decided I'd tackle it myself and save some money. He also checked my heat exchanger and verified that it was in good shape and not cracked. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and was very straightforward and honest. I absolutely will be calling Smart Choice when I decide to add a heat pump to my system!"
