"I would absolutely recommend Custom Deluxe to anybody who has an interest in learning and developing jewelry and metal smithing skills. I have taken two of Lindsey’s three hour classes and have walked away with more knowledge, capability, and confidence then one would imagine was possible to glean in such a short amount of time. It was obvious that my fellow classmates felt the same. Lindsey is a phenomenal teacher who goes the extra mile to support her students and ensure their success. Classes at Custom Deluxe max out at four students and the individualized attention Lindsey is able to spend with everyone is likely why I walked out of class feeling as if I had probably obtained the level of knowledge and ability equivalent to a multi-week course. In one beginner level class you will develop skills with cutting, shaping and soldering and gain familiarity with using mallets, ring mandrels, ring sizers, jewelers saw, bench pins, pliers, solder, torches, pickle, flex shafts, and more. I was able to walk out with a quality piece of jewelry that I felt proud of, and capable of reproducing. I feel so lucky to have found these classes and plan to continue learning from Lindsey as she expands her offerings."
