"My account with OBEE, the information was initially set up wrong by an employee.. which can happen.. however I went out of my way to go in person to this branch, fill out documents for auto pay, double check payment due dates, update any incorrect info etc to ensure EVERYTHING was go to go. Had to request my welcome letter THREE times. Was told the next payment date, therefore correlated the auto pay date to that.. then get a random email months later saying I’m late / over due for a payment.. yet the teller IN PERSON at this branch stated I was actually a month ahead.. Spoke to three customer resolution employees all on the phone, all had attitudes. All they said was well we can waive the late fee.. Not sure how you all have such great reviews, probably the worst bank I’ve ever had to use."
"We , my husband and I had a great experiance with the Lacy branch . Wendy worked diligently and thoroughly to help us consolidate a loan. She was very friendly and eager to help us. At the end of the day when everything was done we went to the Tenino branch and everybody there was just as friendly. We have worked with Obees credit Union before and have never had any issues I would recommend them to anybody"
"Be careful about relying on the information you receive from customer service at this business. My company had a time sensitive need to cash a payment from a vendor that banks with Obee. We had the choice to receive a cashiers check or wire, but chose to have a business check issued after calling not once but twice to verify that we could cash the check despite not banking with them. We clarified explicitly that it was a business check and even went out of the way to acquire the business identification documents that we were told we would need only to be turned away at the branch. Massive waste of time and lost money and opportunity for my business. Poorly trained customer service, would not recommend."
"Do not ever loan with this company. They will lie to your face then turn around and throw you under the bus without so much as an apology. Saying you must have heard wrong, or "misunderstood" like you're not intelligent enough to understand. I will admit to start I was at fault, due to COVID I could not make my payments and my car was towed. I paid over $2,000 to get said car back, and was told not only would all of that money get credited to my account, but that I would not owe a payment until two months later and it would only be a partial payment. The man went as far to even say, that must be nice not having to worry about the payment for a while! When I went to pay my partial payment those two months later, I was told I owed another $1400 because I was supposedly late and in danger of being towed again. I said not only do two months worth of payments not add up to $1400, but one of your employees told me I didn't owe until today. They transferred me to someone who basically told me I was either lying or "didn't actually hear what was said". To which I responded why the comment about it being nice to not have to worry about the payment? He basically dismissed me, and told me I owed the full previous month payment by the end of the month. But because of the "misunderstanding" he would see if I could skip the current months payment and then be current. He did not care that I could not budget that with my paychecks. Not only that but the next day he said that his manager said I had 5 days to pay both months payments, $720 and I only had $110 that I budgeted for because that was what I was told I owed. Oh and it gets better. We had to borrow money from a family member, who offered to just pay it off for us, $4,300 total. We pay them the money, they tell us the title will be here by the 6th. I then get an email stating I need to authorize the payment. That's fine, however they wanted my bank account information again along with a payment amount and date. They wanted more money with no explanation of why or for what. If that wasn't bad enough this email was sent at 3am my time, 1 am Pacific time where the bank is located. I honestly think they tried to scam me out of a second payment, and with me signing it I wouldn't have been able to fight it in court. Do not use this bank. Unless you want them to take all your money, call you a liar, then demand more money with no regard for your circumstance. I understand they have a business to run, but this isn't showing your customers how much you appreciate them and understand their struggles during the pandemic."
"My father recently passed away and we had to close his account. The staff was very helpful and informative. They were also very warm and friendly. If you live in the area, I do suggest this credit union."
