"USWC Taekwondo - Hollywood is a fantastic school. Chief Master Diwakar “Dan” Maharjan is friendly, kind, hard-working, and is an excellent teacher. He pushes me and all the students to do their best, while also encouraging us to do what’s right for our bodies’ capabilities. I’ve had 2 surgeries while attending his school and he was super understanding of the time off I needed to take, as well as the easing back into class process. I really appreciated his patience and attentiveness to work around my health. I attended Master Kim’s Taekwondo Institute in Rochester, NY, under the tutelage of Grandmaster Sung Kim, 8th Degree Black Belt certified by Kukkiwon. I practiced as a teenager, ages 14 - 18, and earned my 1st degree black belt. I took a long 13 year break, and found myself wanting to come back to Taekwondo as an adult. I searched around Portland, looking for a school that felt authentic to the experience I had had in the past. I found USWC Taekwondo Hollywood, and was excited to learn from Chief Master Diwakar “Dan” Maharjan, 7th Degree Black Belt certified by Kukkiwon.
