"We are from Lewis County, but coach a team that plays at Capital regularly. The fields are definitely well taken care of. They are by far superior to the fields in Lewis County. However, the refs here are too much. They treat it like it's pro soccer. It's rec. They're 10 year olds. One of the refs wanted to make us forfeit a game because we had a red penny for our goalie and our shirts are a crimson color (in no way close to the same color). Every time we go up there it's something different that the refs are picking on us about. I swear, I don't expect a lot. One of our refs in LC frequently gets in the way of the ball, annoying but whatever. It doesn't effect the kids' enjoyment of the game, which is why we're all there. Despite the fact that the fields are nice and it's easy to get to, I dread playing here."

"Nice grass fields. Parking can be tight during a bigger event also dusty. Portable bathrooms are clean. Fields aren't clearly marked but the website has location map. There are handicap parking spots. Food close by and gas if your visiting. Easy freeway access."

"The address to this place, 2832 SW 93rd Ave., Tumwater, WA 98502, routes to the nearby roundabout rather than to the entrance gate for the fields, which is really easy to miss. Most of our team got lost trying to get here. Search for "Capital Soccer Fields" and route to that location instead. Also, the fields are grass, not turf. They're well maintained, but I can't imagine how they deal with rainy weather here. Referees for the soccer games allowed a level of physicality that shocked most parents. After hearing us gripe for most of the game, the ref took a minute to chew out the parents. Anyway, the quality of referees no doubt fluctuates widely per game and area."
