She gave us a nickel when we were short one, and gave us recommendations for the area as far as sightseeing was concerned. They had apparently just gotten out of a power outage but we never would have known!"

"Cutest little historic post office with the kindest and most knowledgeable staff! The worker knew about the history of the building, and how to resolve my postal needs for mailing off my wedding invitations. The hours are quite limited and have been updated recently since reopening, but it's understandable considering how small the office is. There is a little lending library outside too."

"ABSOLUTELY the most helpful Post Office you will EVER encounter. They have my vote for National Treasure status. I just mailed 60th wedding anniversary invitations. They have shortened hours, and I arrived about 20 minutes before closing. Invitations starting arriving to our guests the very next day, so I know they got started on hand cancelling the stamps immediately. I'd consider making the 3 hour round trip from my home every time I need stamps, because stamps sales are what keeps this wonderful little gem going."
