"Very personable, professional team. They were lightning fast and careful with my stuff. Would recommend"
"I was moving from Washington to Arkansas during the pandemic and wanted to go with the best movers. I was assured my things would be taken care of very well. I opted for the 1 week hold because had not finalized my place in Arkansas yet. But this did not get communicated to the people that were moving my things by the incompetent coordinator. I called and e-mailed about this numerous times and spoke to the men who moved my things out of my apartment but to no avail. My things were crammed into an 18 wheeler with many other people's things and were piled haphazardly in such a way that my bike and many furniture pieces and packed fragile homewhares were damaged beyong repair. My stuff was delivered a week earlier than was supposed to be in the heat of July and I had to scramble to find an empty storage to rent until my home would be ready. The 18 wheeler driver gave me an incorrect estimate of how big the storage unit would need to be so everything did not fit in the unit and I had to try to find another one. I had to pay another company for a 2nd move from the unit to my home. Hansen brothers did not reimburse me for the things they damaged and made filing a claim so difficult that I gave up. The time and stress it would have taken to file a separate claim for every broken item individually was not worth it for me - as a front line hospital pediatirician taking care of sick kids during the pandemic, i could not spend the few off hours I had a week doing that. Their response will tell you everything you need to know. They are trying to blame the customer for what they did wrong. I wasn't disorganized and it was a difficult time for everyone, not just for me. I asked repeatedly for the 7 day hold from the first person I met who did my estimate to the move coordinator, and to the move out crew, and that option was the main reason I chose this company. And in no way was the distruction of my property due to anything but their incompetence and the carelessness of their crews. Pictures are worth a thousand words so look at the state of my boxes and bike. This company is more expensive and terrible. They don't care about their customers. Do yourself a or and looke elsewhere for a better move."
"Moved in April 2022 from Western to Eastern WA. Called Hanson Bros. to schedule an estimate for my very short notice upcoming move (my house sold super fast). Had to call twice due to sales person Paula not returning my call, but eventually got it scheduled with a courteous person at their Lynnwood office. Paula came out, surveyed our house, took approximately 1 hrs. longer than any of their 2 other competitors. Upon completion on her way out, I asked when I may expect her estimate and her answer was “well, I have about 10 estimates on my desk right now, so give me about 2 days”. She knew how time strapped we were, but I went with it. NEVER heard back, but fortunately I had a couple more estimates coming and made closing and move out on time. Very unprofessional. My advise either stay on top of Hanson or pick another moving company."
"I was extremely pleased with the crew that showed up at my home to load the truck. They were right on time and they worked straight through until they finished. I was amazed at what they can do. They took great caution with all of my furniture to make sure nothing would be harmed. I was surprised they got my place empty so quickly. All of my furniture and boxes were delivered to a storage unit the next day and while I couldn't be there, my brother-in-law represented me. He was skeptical that it would all fit, but they managed beautifully and I certainly am not wasting any space, they did a great job getting everything in and very neatly placed inside the unit. Even my brother-in-law was amazed at how good of a job they did and it didn't take them long. I would definitely recommend Hansen Bros., you can't go wrong."
"Original Review Hansen Bros. conducted my residential move on 5/27/20. The lead mover, Antonio, tried to have me sign off on 10 hours of move time before even starting, despite the Hansen Bros. estimator saying the move would be 8 hours. He also had me initial some sections of the contract & became pushy when I asked for clarification. We had to call Hansen Bros. for clarification because Antonio refused to do anything unless I signed the form. He got so heated during a phone call that the neighbors asked if they needed to intervene. When I asked for a new moving team because I was very uncomfortable (45 minutes of the move time wasted at that point), Hansen Bros. said these were 'great guys' and Antonio had over 10 years experience. During the move, when I asked Antonio to move specific items, he ignored me, complained, or simply didn't load the items on the truck. He kept saying there wasn't room, but the other 2 movers verified that there was, and moved some of the items. At the new house, the movers used all of the bathrooms even after I told them which was the guest bath to use. I had the house professionally cleaned prior to the move, and had to re-clean 3 bathrooms instead of one afterwards. They also left a mess (urine on the toilet, grimy water all over the sink & floor), and called out when they 'needed to take a s***'. I appreciate humor, but that was just rude. When they were moving a large item into the den, they didn't use protective coverings, so they damaged the door frame in several spot, and left gouges and black marks all over the white paint on the frame and door. They also ripped the sofa fabric, and tore my mattress seams so much that I have to replace it. They also stole a medication bin that I hand-carried over before the move & put in an upstairs closet. I contacted Hansen Bros. several times in June to report the damages and theft, file a claim, then follow up. I haven't heard from anyone since 6/17, even when I asked for someone to contact me regarding the claim status. For a company that claims to be a long-term, family-owned business, they sure don't seem to care about resolving significant problems like these. I've only had 2 emails from the branch manager regarding these problems, and they were primarily about filing a claim. Jim didn't seem to concerned or apologetic about my moving experience, nor has he followed up. Before this move, I had referred Hansen Bros. to my friends and family, but I've retracted those referrals, and at least one person who was going to contact Hansen Bros. for a move, based on my referral, changed his mind. If you're reading this review, please consider checking out other more reputable moving companies before this one."
