"The idea of the store is good but the execution needs some work. There are some good deals and some high prices used items - pricing needs some work for the used gear. The staff needs more training and are not what you get at the other stores. The person checking us out didn't say anything to us except to ask for our phone number, they had us grab our own receipt from the register, and didn't give us the change we were owed (it was only a few cents so who cares) but like really?!"
"LAME!!! Save your money save your time avoid this ridiculous dumpster of a store. 1. Staff suck! I’ve been in 4 times now and there is always 3-4 standing around doing nothing or 1-3 talking to each other in The middle of the isles ignoring customers. Sometimes they are stock neg and you better get out of their way or else!! Or else they will literally huff and puff then whine about how hard it is to hang clothes! Send some of those lazy bones to the main store. Better yet start the layoffs at this stupid store. 2. Pricing is like someone smoked meth then Went and priced things. No reasoning to it at all! When asking staff, “why is this more expensive her than in the REI store across the parking lot?” This morons reply, “… pricing is hard…” 3 location, So Stupid! You park then basically walk around 70% of the store to get in the door. So stupid. 4. Exclusive. It’s members only to buy from. Why? That’s just stupid. You don’t save any money here. Literally go to the REI across the parking lot and get the same thing new ata cheaper price. 5. Stupid labels. Some moron writes stupid descriptions on the resale tags and they are stupid! In general don’t waste your money. Don’t waste your time. I hope they send these lame employees to the unemployment office and close this stupid store. Cheers"
"Great store if you already shop at REI and are used to their retail prices, along with their smaller garage sale section. I wouldn’t go here expecting a killer deal. On most clothing items I was looking at roughly 25-30% off original price. Most were near perfect items, just maybe needed to be thrown in the wash. A handful of items looked pretty worn - but were few and far between when I was there. Looks like they also put quite a bit of items that didn’t sell in the store, maybe last chance items that were brand new. found plenty of Medium and large sizes throughout. Great store to check out first, before heading over to the regular REI store on stuff you would normally buy full price otherwise."
"Not sure what to make of this place. On one side, it's Goodwill for the outdoor set. It's nice to see them finding a new home for outdoor products that someone else can use. Some stuff looks like it has never been used while other products look well worn. I was hoping prices would be lower but some people may feel like they are getting a great deal. It's a unique store that will probably do great in Portland."
"I LOVE the idea of this and I frequented the small used section at the original REI around the corner. The execution needs some works. I found many of the prices completely unreasonable and much higher than what I have seen in the past used sections or at the garage sale events. Additionally, I think even some minor cleaning would be beneficial for some of the items. Asking $80 for a used pair of shoes caked in mud seems pretty extreme. I found that most of the shoes I looked at just needed a quick wipe down and they probably would’ve looked new. Instead being covered in dirt and mud made them all hard to justify the already high pricing. Hopefully some changes can be made."
