"Four and a half years ago, the state of Washington attempted to charge my little brother with four counts of vehicular homicide, two of which were for driving under the influence and two for reckless driving. Upon arriving to the collision scene which involved my brothers roommate at the time, and a woman in a BMW, the Vancouver PD made false accusations that my brother and his roommate were racing on their motorcycles, which inevitably took his roommates life, as well as the women in the BMW. After my brother informed me he had a good feeling about Mr. Lee, he hired him and Angus promptly started a thorough investigation to free my brother on all four charges. The state offered my brother a plea bail where they would drop two of the charges, still serving him 8 years in prison. My brother turned down the plea bail, which meant he would be going to trial. The trial got pushed off for years due to “finding more evidence” on behalf of the state and Covid. After gathering substantial evidence, including police reports where one officer wrote a false statement saying my brother struck both vehicles, and later amended his claim, gathering professional witnesses to measure his speed with accuracy etc, amongst multiple other pieces of vital evidence, Mr. Lee was able to drop two of the charges by the judge. Finally, the jury was convinced that my brother was in fact, not guilty on ALL counts of vehicular homicide. There couldn’t have been a better way to end this year.
