"Lets start off. If you are going to this school from another state, student housing is 500 a month, you will have to share one room with another person and your whole dorm will have 4-6 people in it. Pretty shabby place tbh. Now school wise it is really easy, and there is no problem passing the classes and graduating. That being said its up to you to sell yourself and get a job. The school does a good job setting up interviews for you to many different wind companies depending if you want to be a stationary or traveling wind technician. Its important you retain the information in class so you can present it in the interviews. I got a job before graduating and I can say the interview questions weren't too bad as long as you paid attention in class. I was asked mostly electrical questions, like what is a diode, what's a transformer, how ac/dc works etc. Any negative review about not finding a job is really not the school's fault, since they help you practice interviewing and setting up interviews. Timeline of leading up to this: From NWREI To Siemens Gamesa 60k To Fieldcore (service and maintenance side) 106k To GE 102k - no per diem however the AMEX pays For EVERYTHING Tried to go to MCE of GE and was told to withdraw my app and come to the blade side since I help the GE crews that year(2018) My training from NWREI paved the way straight up!"

"Good school for gaining experience to join a growing industry faster than a traditional college degree would. They get you the basic certifications but it will still largely be on you to actively apply and look for a job. If you take it seriously and don’t do the bare minimum you should find yourself with a job in the wind industry in no time."

"This isn't a college and shouldn't be listed as one. I graduated here in 2011, and can't believe they haven't gained a partnership with a community college for the student who would at least like to achieve an associates degree. They say you get college credits, none of which are worth a damn. If they rectify this issue it would solve a great deal of issues. I'm sorry but a wind technician diploma isn't worth squat outside of the wind industry."
