"Beautifully decorated for Christmas! Check the hours before you go, they’re closed on Mondays"
"The Cupola House has been preserved beautifully. The history and artifacts that are displayed inside the house are quite interesting."
"Christine and Susan were awesome docents, look forward to visiting again. Got to visit with the doors open and the tick-tock of a period grandfather clock, as close to traveling back in time as we’ll get in 2022."
"The Cupola House has an interesting history and is worth a visit. Volunteer docents were very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the house and had many interesting anecdotes. The house itself is full of artifacts and rooms that are laid out as they were back in different time periods,"
"My wife and I toured the Cupola House on Sunday afternoon. We were the only ones there so we had an opportunity to ask a lot of questions. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and made the experience really enjoyable. My wife's family is from nearby Gates County and her family lore says that her great grandmother lived in the Cupola House. We learned during the tour that the last member of the family, who owned the house, fell on hard times. She rented rooms out for a period of time at the point in time when my wife's grandmother would have been a young women; so, it's possible family lore could be true. We're definitely going to research this more!"
