"What a wonderful place to work !!! I have been here for 11 years and when I wake in the morning I truly look forward to going to Heritage Hall in Virginia Beach. This is my home away from home. The patients brings me JOY! The staff makes the facility feels like home. Family members enjoy being here with their love ones especially when we have special events in the large dinning room ( which is very often ). Our new administrator door is always open to staff, family members and patients. Please stop by for a tour, I will be happy to show you around our wonderful facility. "My mother was there for rehab due to a full knee replacement. I was kind of nervous because she very young. what I can say about this place is, rehab department was awesome with therapy and she even had weight loss. the Social Worker and Admission director greeted my mother soon as she came in from hospital. The social worker also gave a helping hand with transporting her to the room. The admission process was very easy and very educational. Dietary department meet every need, which also help towards her weight loss too. The nursing staff was good. When it came time for my mother to discharge.The administrator and social worker work very hard on making sure her home health was in place. They even gave her equipment until hers came in to make sure she had an safe discharge."

"PLEASE DO NOT put your family member at Heritage Hall in Virginia Beach, VA. I had the unprofessional social worker, Darlene Bishop tell me in front of my mother that my mother do not need a POA and that my mother can verbally remove me, her daughter as POA. This social worker is trying to keep me from seeing my mother with her LIES. The administrator and staff do not want family members to ask questions about the care of family members and refuses to contact family members when their family members falls or being physically attack by another patient which have happen to my mother on too many occasions (my mother is a fall risk). Furthermore, the administrator and social worker have manipulate and turn my mother against her own family by threaten eviction against my mother. The nursing staff have on many occasions did not order my mother's medicine on time resulting in my mother to bleed from her rectum. Also, the nursing staff change the doses of my mother's medicines and many times my mother would not receive her medicine. The nursing staff did not set up transportation for my mother's doctor appointments resulting in many cancellation of appointments. My mother keep losing her clothes even though she put her name on all of her garments. Personal items of my mother have been stolen resulting in me purchasing a tackle box and lock. The staff pretend to care in the beginning but it quickly fades. The administrator and social worker lacks professionalism, create negative drama and always LYING out of both sides of their mouth to cover up their misdeeds and staff mistakes in caring for my mother. This is the worst nursing home for my mother and others. Lastly, it is being run and managed by incompetent, unprofessional liars who are black and so, am I. DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER IN THIS NURSING HOME!!! You will regret it like I am."

"This was such an amazing place to work. The staff genuinely care for the residents and one another. If witnessed Ashley Jackson let residents come talk to her for up to an hour just because they need to talk. She makes time for everyone even though she has a lot on her plate. Mrs. Josie and Dominique make the work environment so enjoyable and you wake up wanting to go to your job. Mrs. Bishop is a saint and I need not say anymore about her. Honestly this is the best work environment and I would put my loved ones here if need be."
