"Nice bike ride at Dusk with cool ocean breeze and great views."
"Very beautiful lighthouse. I went with my bf since he is in the military and has an ID that is valid anywhere. Very nice area and is beautiful. I’m sure somehow visitors can go onto the base you just have to drive up and ask how to get to the lighthouses if you’re not in the military. Overall great experience. Didn’t climb this lighthouse since it is closed and not able to walk inside of."
"Visiting the lighthouse was an amazing experience. It is located on a military base so unless you or someone escorting you has a military ID you’ll need to take additional steps to get on base. Definitely worth a visit regardless. Visit Groupon to check and see if they have discount for the lighthouse tour (it saved us money). We loved how they have two binocular stands at the base of the lighthouse and there’s no fee to use them. Going up into the lighthouse was also a great experience, at the top there’s a nice breeze but it’s completely safe and has a great view. You can easily see the 2nd lighthouse from the base, great photo opportunity. Also kid friendly. Don’t forget to support the gift shop on your way out for some great keepsakes to take home."
"Five stars because, you know what, it does actual lighthouse things. Not accessible to the public but a great photo backdrop if you're into lighthouses. You'll have a great view of this structure when you're standing atop the historic lighthouse. You'll get to read a little history about both the original and updated lighthouses if you pay to enter the historic lighthouse. It's neat that the older version survived being replaced and lives on to stand as a monument to our colonial ancestors."
"Note: the New CH LH cannot be accessed/climbed. It is owned by the USCG. You can drive onto the base with valid ID (military/DoD) and see if from the base"
