"I have been a patient at this location for a few years. It is a convenient location with easy access for walking, public transit and cars. My doctor, Reena Ramakrishnan, DO has provided excellent care - competent, a good listener and empathetic. I’ve only used the labs a few times and both times my phlebotomists were competent. It’s a busy location serving a diverse demographic and receiving care has been easy. I appreciate all my records and notes being available online in a timely manner. My only constructive criticism is that they’re so busy that I have usually had to wait for my scheduled appointment, however, this has been my typical experience with any healthcare in the Seattle area no matter the office size or speciality. To me, it’s crazy that doctors are scheduled with 10-15 patient appointments a day."
"I am very upset! This relates to my visit for blood work on or about Jan 30. I hydrated (20 oz) 30 mins to one hour before my visit. The phlebotomist, a young lady having started on Oct, made attempts to obtain blood. Finally, she said it was not possible which shocked me since I had been there on previous occasions and those individuals were always successful. I was blamed (bad veins and not having drunk enough water) and advised to try returning when another phlebotomist was there in the afternoon or go across the street to another office. An hour after I reached home the area was swollen, hard and badly bruised and remains that way. I am a senior and this is a first for me. My feeling is Labcorp should train their people so this does not occur. I had to cancel my doctor appointment (waiting for the swelling/ bruising to go down) since he needs the blood work at the time of my visit. How very disappointing!"
"Been without a primary care doctor for 2+ years. No outreach, no plan to backfill. They don't respond to messages and their administration seems like don't care about you at all."
"With the lack of hospitals in West Seattle, I figured I'd give Swedish's clinic a try. I called in early March to see if I could book with a primary care doctor and get an annual physical. They booked me for an appointment in late July, which wasn't ideal but they didn't have any other openings. I got a call today, April 27th, from them telling me that whoever booked my appointment back in March did it wrong. And that I needed to set up a virtual appointment to establish myself as a new patient with the doctor for June 28th... and then only AFTER that appointment, could they try and schedule me an in-person physical. I was pretty upset seeing as they told me they were booked out until December. Who has to wait an entire year to get an annual physical? And because THEY made this booking mistake, I was even more disappointed that they couldn't get me in sooner so I decided to take my business elsewhere. Horribly disorganized and what a joke making people wait that long to see a doctor."
"I’m not typically one who likes to share medical information online, but I wanted to make an exception for Dr. Simmons. She’s absolutely knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I can tell she approaches medicine through a holistic method and is not judgmental when you bring up new ideas you’ve seen online. I also really enjoyed the cooking class I took with her and it helped make me feel more informed about both my diet and how to cook/meal prep. The team here is always very helpful when I need to refill prescriptions or have general questions. I also never liked online portals for doctor offices, but the MyChart system is actually super intuitive and has come in clutch when it comes to pre-checking in and chatting with my service providers. I highly recommend coming here for exceptional care."
