Franciscan Hospice House

"It's been a year since my mom passed away she died October 18th 2022 we had her at the hospice house here in University place and I have to say that in the time that she was there our family received wonderful wonderful care they let us come and go as we please they made sure that we got some food and they were very very respectful. The morning that my mom passed away I hit the nurses call button and one of the nurses came in I said to her that I think that my mom just took her last breath and I wanted her to check she spent a few minutes trying to find a heartbeat trying to make sure for certain that she had passed I told her that I thought that she had died at 9:35 in the morning when one of the doctors finally came in and confirm that she had passed I looked at him and the nurse said her son was holding her hand at 9:35 when it happened they honored the time that I gave them and made that her time of death I never thought that I would be the one to give the time of death for my own mother. I have nothing but wonderful wonderful comments to say about this place so many I find it difficult to even put it down in this review. If you are looking for a hospice house for your loved one to spend their final moments and days or even hours I highly recommend this place you will not be sorry that you came here I've also heard from people that have also had their family members here and I've heard nothing but great reviews from them as well my best friends father passed away here and his mom was telling me that she greatly loved it here she also passed this past December unexpectedly my great-grandmother also passed away here this place is just wonderful you won't be sorry if you come here"

"My issue is not with the nursing staff. They where amazing and treated my father and our family with the upmost respect. My issue was my directive of where my father remains and paperwork was not honored and its been a nightmare dealing with the funeral home next door to them. Which could have been avoided if my direct wishes been done."
