"Enjoyed a recent visit (August 2023) to Hinton's historic downtown district. Met the nicest, most welcoming people throughout the town! The quilting shop was especially enjoyable, as was an antique store (yes, I have a "new" Pyrex bowl! ha), the train museum and the Market on Courthouse Square (best pizza, ever!). Although the town is absolutely beautiful, the people were simply the best!"

"We stayed in Hinton but outside of town, we walked the historic district which had some interesting places to look at, and found something I haven't seen in years...a pay phone! Whether it worked or not I don't know but it looked like it did."
"A charming slice of Americana. There is an audio tour of local pieces of African-American history that is interesting, though there are also plaques around town telling local history. Several of the historic buildings have been lovingly restored. A great area for lovers of unique architecture."
