Lollipop Shoppe

"It was just ok. Full disclosure I didn't go during peak hours or event. The space is cool. It feels like it would be fantastic during a show. For me the food was sad. We tried the fried chicken sandwich and the catfish sandwich. The chicken was good enough. Not the best I've had, but much better than some places. The sweet and savory was good. The catfish sandwich (which I came for, major craving happening) was just not good. Everything was soggy and fell apart. The fish had little seasoning and although was fried was limp and you couldn't tell how it was cooked. I'm sure as a music venue it's awesome- but go for the music, not the food. I'd give the space an 8/10 but the food 3/10"

"It's a decent venue with solid selection for drinks and friendly staff. The dj had some poor transitions, but for free cover we were more than happy to dance our hearts out! They were hosting an after party for a folk group out of California, so when they arrived the vibe took a sudden and swift change and the place emptied out. It was a little disappointing, but nothing to keep us from returning. Photo booth in the back makes for a good keepsake :)"

"Good food and drinks live music, only down fall is when my wife and I came in we approached the bar the bar tender was on his phone texting and it took a few minutes for him to look up make eye contact then went right back to his phone before another 4 minutes to pass before he came up and asked what we wanted. There was only one other customer at bar who had drink already. As my wife is a bartender hospitality is very important, we would of been happy for an acknowledgment of hi give me a sec I’ll be right with you. That easy. His name was Ace… I believe but was very nice when he did serve us"

"2nd time at the shoppe. Real friendly atmosphere and laid back. See all types there for the various acts. All seem welcomed, the few food choices are tasty and worth it. The staff is friendly. My only issue is some drinks they measure pour and others are free pour. My group had very strong and very weak drinks. Super inconstant, so we were cautious about buying drinks and even shrugged and said let's play the drink lottery. The space seems right for the stage and music. They run loud so ear plugs if you're concerned about your heating. It's a fun place and I'll be back for the music. I hope they figure out their drink issue. Spoon Benders rock!"

"I've been really enjoying my first two visits to the Lollipop Shoppe! The proprietors really know what they are doing, since they have put on music events here in Portland in the past! The music side is comfortable for watching and listening to your live bands, and the sound is really good. On the other side of the bar are comfortable booths and a bar seating area for your food and drink delights!"
