Eceap

ECEAP, located in Orcas, Washington, is an Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program funded by the state for children ages 3 and 4, and in some cases, infants or toddlers younger than 3. The institution works closely with parents to support children's health and education, as well as to help families access medical, dental, and social services. Children in ECEAP learn important social and academic skills, such as managing their feelings, getting along with others, and building foundational skills in reading, math, and science. Eligibility for ECEAP is based on age and family income, with some slots reserved for children with special needs or disabilities. Prioritization for enrollment is based on availability in the community. Head Start, a similar program funded by the federal government, has slightly different age requirements and eligibility criteria.
