"UPDATE: Since this post I have discussed my outrage and feelings with more than one person and every single on of them when I daid QFC asked "the one in Hadlock?" They all knew because they have either experienced it themselves or they have someone they care about who experienced it. It seems that we'll never get past a culture of hate and judgement. And for what? What do people gain from treating others so badly? A false sense of superiority, of betterment? That doesn't last. And when it wears off, they are still the same person. With the same problems they are trying to hide. It doesn't change anything. I live in with my partner in Chimacum and the Hadlock location is the closest to our home, so this is the store we frequently choose. Whenever we go together we have had no problems. Whenever I go, the same. Everyone is polite and helpful. BUT... my partner who has visible tattoos and is mixed, (1/2 Caucasian and 1/2 Spanish and Mexican) always comes home feeling so bad about himself. There is one clerk there in self-checkout (middle-aged woman with dark hair) who is always rude to him and every time he's checking out, she goes straight to his bag and pulls everything out to make sure he rang it all up. Tonight about 20 min ago, it was ginger root. Thirty cents worth of Ginger and she treats him like a criminal. Pulling it out of the bag and finding it already on the screen. Talking down to him. Embarrassing him. Making him feel like he's got something wrong with him or like he's lower than her. Why? Because he doesn't look like everyone else and I wasn't there to white wash him out. Those feelings are only temporary for him because the grocer lady doesn't get to tell him his worth but no one, NO ONE, should ever have to feel that even for a minute. I don't know her name so I can't call her out and honestly, I don't want to because in my opinion she's the one who's lower than everyone else and doesn't merit my time. I'm only ranting because its been a year and a half of this and I don't know how else to let it out. My boyfriend has never stolen a thing from any QFC and doesn't deserve that treatment, even if he had. This world is so full of hate and its disgusting. Seeing pieces of him break off make me angry for him. All the violence today stems from behavior like this and people snapping. Luckily, we're not violent people but what if she's doing it to someone who is? And they snap? Or she's doing the same to someone's kids? Let me ask that, how would you feel if it was you or the ones you love being treated that way just for shopping. He leaves in a great mood and he's excited to cook a great dinner and comes home sad and mad. Thank you QFC! For ruining my relaxing night with your outdated, ignorant, and hateful prejudice!"

"The store is great. Staff is great. The bathrooms always seem messy. Today the needles container had been pried open, and left. The roll to dry your hands with is on the back of the toilet with no lid and the water to wash with was cold the whole time."

"Prices have increased but there are many items- milk Cheerios fruits veggies and others - u can count on to be in stock. We buy all our veggies here. Lots of selection for coffee, many types of cheese, bread. Customer service is helpful. sometimes there are too few cashiers"
