Reviews of Family Medical Group
"This was my doctors office for over 15 years. Was very happy while the office was under the previous ownership but has continued to fall short on appointments, billing and general communication since Dr. Booker retired."
"We’ve been going to FMG for 10 years, and have loved it up until the last year or two. Since GreenField Health took over, the level of service has completely cratered. There are still providers there who I like and appreciate. When you can see them, which more and more feels like a matter of luck. Good luck if you have any immediate concerns. You can’t get in. Instead you are advised to contact urgent care. Last time I went, the nurse who checked me in, well, there wasn’t much care there. I didn’t feel like I was her patient; I felt like I was an inconvenience. I am deeply saddened at the overall collapse of patient care standards at this practice, even though a few physicians and LPNs there remain attentive and genuinely caring - when you can get in to see them, which is very difficult to do now. It should no longer be called Family Medical Care. Good Luck With That Medical Care would be a more accurate name."
"Terrible... after 10 years as my primary care they now consider me a new patient and i cannot get in to see a doctor for a year! it's because they have a policy that if you havnt been in for 3 years they will cancel your status as a patient, without any warning... really a terrible place and company to do things like that with something as important as healthcare"
"I have been coming to family medical group since 1996. I'm on my third doctor as the two prior ones retired. I'm currently seeing Dr. Susan Berke. I know she's an LPN, but she is as good or better than most doctors I've seen in the past. I'm seventy one years old and am constantly running into annoying and odd medical issues that she is able to "Sherlock Holmes" a diagnosis. I'm also very pleased with the medical assistants, and the front office staff. They are always very polite and friendly. I was worried when they were bought out by the large corporation that things we're going to change or they might even close down. I was very relieved to find out things were going to be slightly different, but the same."
"My spouse and I and our two young kids (now 2 and 4) have been patients here for four years, and very pleased with all the providers we’ve seen, their administrative staff, and the reliability of their patient portal. Let’s be real — running a primary care practice is HARD and largely thankless task. Operating within our insane health care delivery and insurance systems is maddening, and only occasionally goes smoothly. Sometimes things aren’t as fast, simple, or predictable as we’d like. That is par for the course in American medicine. Taking those externalities into consideration, this is an excellent family medicine practice! Their Saturday half-day urgent care session is fantastic! One downside to note (not a knock on the practice itself) is that getting lab work done can be cumbersome. You need to use a Providence lab, and navigating to them/waiting at them can be a nuisance. But that’s a trade-off that can be worthwhile in order to have a cozier small family medicine practice experience. They can’t fit everything into their quaint little corner building."
