Assuming ample time, I decided to order a shotgun from their website on November 1st, given its unavailability in-store, despite the website indicating a stock of six units. The transaction unfolded with my credit card being charged on November 2nd, accompanied by an email projecting a delivery timeframe of 4-7 business days. My concern arose when no tracking number accompanied this communication. On November 8th, I attempted to gain clarity on the order status via email, yet received no response. November 10th prompted a phone inquiry, where the individual, after obtaining my order number, assured me of an imminent arrival without providing substantial details. Subsequent efforts on November 14th to seek information via email proved futile. A second phone call on November 16th met with a less-than-enthusiastic response from the personnel, who, unable to provide tracking information, cited supplier constraints. November 22nd marked another call to inquire about my order, with a recurring assurance of imminent arrival attributed to holiday order influx. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I agreed to check again the following week. November 28th necessitated yet another call, resulting in the revelation that my order had not been processed correctly. An apology was extended, and an overnight shipment was promised, along with a commitment to a full refund if not received by the next week. December 4th saw another call, with an explanation that holiday-related shipping delays were occurring, projecting a delivery by December 8th. However, the firearm did not arrive, and the assurance of a Saturday delivery came with the inconvenience of the store being closed, necessitating a Monday pickup. On December 11th, when inquiring about the firearm's status, I received the disheartening news that it had not arrived, and tracking information was unavailable. Frustrated, I opted for an immediate refund, having reached the limit of my patience with the prolonged and uncertain process. Undoubtedly one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a shop. From initiating the order on November 1st to December 11th, the entire process was riddled with unfulfilled promises and blatant dishonesty."

Despite my husband's anticipation for his hunting trip, we faced over a month of waiting without receiving the necessary updates on the status of his firearm. The repeated assurance that the gun would be available "tomorrow" proved unreliable, leaving us with no choice but to seek a refund after enduring a month and a half of unmet expectations. Consequently, we opted to reorder from a different facility in the hope of salvaging the hunting trip plans. Unfortunately, this has jeopardized our ability to participate in the trip as we placed our trust in this establishment, only to be let down by the lack of communication and prolonged delays."
"Similar story to other reviews. I traded in my hunting rifle and used the credit to buy a different rifle. The two guys at the shop were both very friendly and knowledgeable, reasonable prices too. They said the rifle would arrive in a week; plenty of time to sight it in before hunting season. I asked for some receipt or documentation that I both sold and bought a rifle, and they couldn't give me either, but the owner wrote a handwritten note saying what I bought. It's 6 weeks later, and still no rifle. I've called each week and they say "it will be here this week", but can't provide me with any tracking number or further info. I've had to cancel all of my hunting season plans this year. Based on several other customers' experiences, they know that shipping takes months, but still say that it will be a week, and make constant excuses instead of just being honest. If they were honest about shipping times, I probably still would have bought from them, but I would have held onto my original hunting rifle so that I could hunt this year."
"My issues with SSG is not uncommon to other people who gave reviews. Took over a month to get the gun. Was told on the phone my gun hadn’t arrived so I should call again in 2 weeks. They had no way to check where the gun was in shipping I called again a couple weeks later and they had to re-order the gun. When it finally arrives you fill out paper work and then wait 10 business days and I never received a call back. So I just showed up to the shop two weeks after and they finally gave me the gun. Terrible on communication but the staff are definitely friendly guys so I appreciate that. Just not very helpful or aware of what was going on."
