Prescott Elementary School

"Decent public school. Partially ruined by progressive liberal curriculum and restorative justice program that does not hold students accountable for rule violations unless they determine there may be a credible threat to school, self or others which is decided on ad-hoc basis inconsistently from student to student. Current Principal Salvatore (Sam) Maranto is excellent. Many excellent teachers but stuck with the "core" curriculum which is not really providing kids with what they need to be taught to succeed in life or in college. Active PTA. School Board of liberal PC yes-people. New [2018] superintendent may improve the schools in the district from the standards of previous superintendent who was a big part of the school becoming a progressive liberal dumb-em-down institution. Adequately funded but missing many programs found in schools with a less diverse student population with a larger tax base that supports larger program offerings. High School and Middle School both have been rebuilt in this district however Prescott Elementary is an older school that needs renovation as do the other 2 elementary schools in the Parkrose School District. School Bus service if you live more than a mile from the school on specific routes."

"Moved here from a different school district and so far we love everything they do here! It's so much fun. My son loves his teachers and everything about his school."

"I used to attended this school back in 1980. I was in 3rd grade during that year. My very first 3rd grade class Teacher was Ms. Beecher, 4th grade Teacher Ms. Howard, and my 5th grade Teacher Mr. Whitmore. And I think my Harvey Scott School Principal was Mr. Column. Wow, it's been like 37 years ago sinced I attended Harvey Scott School. There's alot of memories in that school."

"I volunteered with the SMART reading program at this school for a year. The classes seemed good and the teachers were nice. The students that I read with were really kind and respectful. I didn't continue it due to my work schedule but really miss it :("
