"We'll never be able to fully express how much we love Dr. Thakkar and his care team at Swedish Edmonds. We've been seeing him since our first kid was born in 2019 and have always appreciated his calm personality, his positivity and encouragement (especially as new parents) and the fact that he sticks around at the end of every appointment to make sure we haven't forgotten any of the questions we wanted to ask. When we've had concerns about one of our kids he is quick to reply with information or suggestions, or in the case of our first kiddo that needed referrals for several different things in the first couple years of life he was ready to help right away. No hesitance to reach out for specialist care or "let's wait and see" type responses like I hear from parent friends that see other docs. Perhaps most importantly though, now, is that we called regarding our three month old, who had had a cough for a few days but suddenly woke up sounding wheezy. His team had us in the clinic for an appointment within 45 minutes of us calling and diagnosed with an RSV test within 90 minutes. His clinic called us the next morning to check on the baby and when we said we saw no improvement they told us to head to Children's ER, called ahead for us, and the triage team only needed us to wait a few minutes before they were ready to see us upon arriving. It was after our arrival that our baby started to decline but since we were already here she was in the best possible place. Had Dr. Thakkar and his team not proactively reached out it may have been a couple hours before I called for advice and we would have gotten to the ER much later. Who knows how much this helped our baby in the long run. (I'm guessing a LOT). He and his team are fabulous and the extra care they provide every patient beyond clinic visits continues to delight me after four years of being patients of his. Their actions potentially saved our baby or at the very least helped ensure she wouldn't need as invasive care for her RSV by getting to the ER sooner and I will forever be grateful for their help and care."
