About the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial
The Benjamin Franklin National Memorial, located at 222 North 20th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a popular tourist attraction showcasing a stunning 20-foot-high marble statue of Benjamin Franklin. Crafted by sculptor James Earle Fraser, the statue is made of white Seravezza marble and sits on a 92-ton pedestal of Rose Aurora veined marble from Portugal. The memorial's rotunda, designed by architect John T. Windrim and modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, features rare marbles from Portugal, Italy, and France throughout its floors, walls, columns, and more.
Designated as the official national memorial to Benjamin Franklin by the United States Congress in 1972, the memorial is open to the public whenever The Franklin Institute is open, with no admission fee required. Visitors can also enjoy on-site parking at The Franklin Institute's parking garage located at 271 North 21st Street. Explore the life and legacy of one of America's founding fathers at the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial.

Reviews of Benjamin Franklin National Memorial
"It's an amazing museum with lovely decor. Ben Franklin ✝️ was a great inventor. His legacy resides here in Philadelphia. Shalom ✝️ Maranatha ✡️"
"Imma give it 5 stars bc I feel like it would be great for kids. It was just me, so it was okay. But kids... your kids will love it. Touch the key in the electricity hall."
"This place is huge and hard to navigate. Felt like we missed sections. Interactive but geared more for kids. Several exhibits were broken. Can get crowded. Very interesting if you take the time to explore and read. Mentally stimulating! Loved the 3D printing section but needed more of it"
"Going in we knew it was a science center but had no clue about the exhibits as we knew we couldn't spend all day there. We were happily surprised. Some exhibits were in areas that were too large for them, such as the heart. Seemed like a lot of extra space. The building is huge though and their are plenty of exhibits to look through!"
"Very cool place to bring the kids. Lots of hands on interactive exhibits. A walk through version of the heart, lungs, and brain are a sure crowd pleaser. The planetarium is ok, hard wooden benches spaced out for Covid, not easy to look straight up. A lot of the exhibits are closed due to covid some include the sports center, air show, and the imax theater. The only place to get food is small Cafe in the lobby. The science store is open and ready to take your money! Overall a great experience especially the Ben Franklin electrical exhibits, touch the key!"
