"I am a registered nurse and am aware of the proper way to take a BP. You MA’s do this incorrectly every time we come. The arm should be at the level of the heart and the pt should not be asked questions during the BP. You need to read the studies and correct the way BP are taken. Please pay attention to my comments. Thanks"
"I've been with Dr. Lufkin for 10 years now and he's guiding me through my second round with NHL. He listens and cares, and takes the extra time needed to answer all my questions. His team and everyone else at Compass Oncology are amazing and I can't imagine going through these journeys without them. I love to bring them goodies on my treatment days, just a little something to tell them "Thank you, I appreciate all of you!""
"Week before came in and had labs drawn. Quick and painless and totally on time with staff who was warm and welcoming. Enjoyed the jokes posted on the walls of the lab. Called in on time by Dr Lufkin’s nurse. Went over meds and medical history since last appointment. Asked her for a copy of my labs including results from “strings”. She got those for me. Dr Lufkin and I discussed at length why I was seeing him as I have no intention of proceeding with treatment if a diagnosis comes up of a blood disorder cancer. Also would not agree to a bone marrow test. Dr Lufkin and I had a very useful discussion from my perspective. He listens very well, gave me options and we decided that I would come in yearly for an update. I covered with him my end of life choices and decisions I had made with my family and my nephrologist, Dr G Suri. He concurred with those decisions. Excellent physician. It was very helpful to go through the process again. My sister was present and thought the discussion was also helpful to her. Although I review it every time I go into the hospital. I’ve just started my 14th year of hemodialysis and see Dr Lufkin for anemia."
"The whole staff at NE Portland Compass is outstanding. They treat all patients with respect and compassion, and have always made me comfortable while dealing with serious health issues. I would recommend Compass to any patient dealing with a blood related illness. Excellent Doctors and medical staff."
"I was very pleased with my experience with Compass oncology! They were pretty much on time and very informative people that I interacted with. My oncologist Dr. Lufkin is a wonderful listener and follows up on everything that I have concerns about! I am so thankful for that kind of care!"
