Reviews
"Contrary to what another reviewer said, this National Park had nothing to do with the Civil War, nor were any battles waged here. Valley Forge is the site of a 6 month encampment of General Washington's troops during the Revolutionary War. Nearly 2000 soldiers did die here, of disease."
"We have ALWAYS loved Valley Forge. It doesn't matter if you're just driving through, or walking the trail, there is plenty to see. It is comprised of stunning, untouched rolling hills and fields. You can enjoy a picnic, fly kites, or simply take in the deer roaming the park. It can be easy to forget that it was a civil war battleground. You're able to tour the encampments, artillery fields and the many monuments and homes. Fortunately it's close to home, so we can go any time. Its a Must!"
