"The statue of General Anthony Wayne stands as a striking tribute to a notable Revolutionary War hero at Valley Forge National Historical Park. Its impressive craftsmanship captures the essence of Wayne's leadership and bravery. Positioned prominently within the park, the statue not only adds to the historical ambiance but also serves as a focal point for understanding the contributions of lesser-known but equally important figures in American history. A visit to this statue is both inspiring and educational, offering a moment to reflect on the individual stories that weave into the broader tapestry of America's fight for independence."
"I love this park. Valley Forge national historic park is full of really great statues and hidden trails. (Note: The monument is a duplicate of the Anthony Wayne statue at Stony Brook). I came across at least four really cool monuments similar to this. I recommend getting a park map soon as you get there."
"A very detailed statue. The craftsmanship is exquisite in detail. The statue is perfectly situated for mid to late afternoon sun. Making for good photo taking. Another nice feature is the statue figure is low enough to the ground to be able to see the highly detailed workmanship. The statue/monument actually has dedicated parking, by way of a semi-circle parking ring along its backside. Parking is a very limited commodity along the tour route in the park. General Anthony Wayne, namesake of Ft. Wayne Indiana. One of, if not THE best fighting General of George Washington's Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. He built the original Fort Wayne in 1794 which became an incorporated city in 1815, which we now know as the modern day city of Ft. Wayne Indiana."
"Came to Valley Forge to watch sunset today (11/08/2021). I asked the staff at visitor center where was the best spot to watch sunset, he told me the side of road by General Wayne Statue. So we parked our car at the picnic area and hiked for over 4 miles before we came back to this spot to watch the splendid sunset. A tractor was mowing over the fields at sunset time so that I was lucky enough to get some very unique shots. Fall foliage season is almost gone at this time but with right light and spots you can still get some nice shots."
"A very nice statue of General Wayne. Tip 1: There is a round about off the main road where you can part the car. Don’t park at Wayne’s Woods Picnic area. Tip 2: This statue is off the pedestrian route, if you are walking, once you arrive Wayne’s Woods Picnic Area, walk along the main road toward west for about quarter miles, you will see the statue on north side of the road."
