"Beautiful old theater with lots of charm."
"Powerful theater performance in an intimate space. We saw God Said This by Leah Nanako Winkler, in an audience seating 33 people. The house management was kind and thoughtful about COVID19 protocols, and Dukebay clearly shares its mission for local independent theater representing the diversity of all people, especially Tacoma and the local community. Smart, spare design allowed a clarification on what's important in this script; many scenes & places were created with wonderful restraint. Music was used to bring us into the characters' mood, and we were all singing along for a moment, strangers & all. Moments of love and light weave into the potentially very heavy, and triggering topics; The script and this production really got me in all the feelings, in a great way. I'm looking forward future Dukesbay Productions performances!"
"Saw 'Agnes of God'. It's easy to see how Dukesbay is thriving where so many others fold. The talent is top notch, the direction gives unobtrusive consistency, and the management provide seamless support. I'm certain that if you see one of their productions, you'll be back again."
"Excellent production. Intimate theater setting. Very happy to support this little community theater group!"
"Saw the play Bent. A good friend of mine, Paul Sobrie is in the play. Very sobering, thought provoking and emotional. You could hear people in the audience crying, blowing their noses. It's a difficult story and the cast did a great job."
