"We found Therapy 2 Grow just in time! We knew our son probably had ADHD, but we learned more about Sensory Processing Disorder the minute we stepped into Sharon’s “office.” We are so thankful for her quick response to my email inquiry. She was able to set up an appt within a week or two of my initial contact. Our son got evaluated and plugged into her weekly schedule. Sharon gave good advice for our day to day living, thoughtful answers to my many questions, and hope to this tired Mom. Our son thrived during his OT sessions and he enjoyed seeing Miss Sharon each week. We have seen growth and focus in our son and we know it is largely due to Sharon’s expertise, thoughts and recommendations. We highly recommend Therapy 2 Grow!"
"I cannot express how wonderful our experience was with Sharon. My eight year old had been struggling with sensory processing issues, anxiety, and emotional management his entire life. He was on the brink of being asked to leave his school. She worked with him to help him better identify his emotions, build his confidence, and learn how to "feed" his body's sensory needs in an appropriate way. She also worked with his teacher to communicate tools that would be useful for not just for my son, but all students in the classroom. It has been about six months since our last session - and he is thriving! She also did an evaluation and therapeutic sessions with my thirteen year-old who was also struggling with similar issues. I was really impressed by her ability to connect with not just my younger son, but my teenager as well. He truly loved going to see her, and he learned valuable skills."
"We love Sharon! Sharon is amazing in working with both children and parents! She helped coach and encourage my husband and I with our 3 year old son who has some sensory processing issues and rigid thinking patterns. Our son improved and changed a lot when working with Sharon and he just loves her. Her clear communication and kindness and respect for children is a true gift. We also had our 7 year old daughter see her several times to help her be more flexible in her thinking patterns. I would highly recommend working with Sharon if your child(den) have developmental needs!"
"After my 3 year old son’s diagnosis, I searched for a neurodiversity affirming OT who could help my kiddo overcome sensory challenges. We were advised to pursue ABA by a well meaning pediatrician, but I wanted someone who could see past his behaviors, which may have seemed “avoidant,” and focused on his needs and build on his strengths. Miss Sharon was exactly the right person! After a thoughtful evaluation, we began Floortime (DIR) which was play-based and child focused. I was able to observe sessions to implement strategies at home, which was key to the intervention being so successful. We did one session per week for only 4 months and, when he met his goals, we collaboratively transitioned him and ended services. My kid is thriving now - seeking new adventures, engaging in creative play, and initiating conversations with peers and even my adult acquaintances (!!!). All this from something that was low pressure and fun. Thank you, Miss Sharon!"
"Having only lived in the area for less than a year, I did a quick search for OT near me when my child’s doctor recommended we try OT. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Sharon was a mere 7 minutes from me. The convenience was a nice-to-have but more than that, what we found in Sharon was a caring guide/teacher and counselor. She puts her all into each session and helped us navigate challenging issues by coming up with strategies and getting us setup in the sessions to implement them at home. I cannot recommend Sharon more. We have been so grateful she came into our lives!"
