"The pharmacist was extremely rude to the patient in front of me who was in active crisis who had gone a week without medication because there were cyber attacks and a failure to notify patients that certain prescriptions were lost. I left with said person to offer them support and get them home safely , and will be having all my prescriptions sent elsewhere. I understand a cyber attack is outside of the pharmacy’s control but a failure to notify patients or at least have common courtesy when dealing with someone who is in active crisis and struggling to communicate is unacceptable. I do not know the pharmacist/pharm techs name, I see them there often- short faux hawk with pink dye and stretched ear lobes. They did not offer to send a request to this person’s doctor or offer any other option within their power. They pretty much insisted on speaking over patient rudely with a “it’s my turn to talk now.” I know that losing one customer (possibly two if the person effected switches to a different pharmacy) doesn’t mean anything to Safeway but I at least hope others will read this and switch pharmacies or that Safeway staff will talk to this pharmacy worker about protocol when it comes to patients who are being forced to go without meds due to their lack of responsibility when it comes to cyber security. It is not a difficult task to listen to people who are reasonably upset or even in crisis due to medication management falling thru, as it’s partially the pharmacy’s responsibility to help patient’s with bad mental health manage their meds."
"The pharmacy here is the model by which other pharmacies should pharmiliarize themselves with. They need their own Triple A pharm league so as to trounce other less stellar pharmaceutical squads."
"I asked the pharmacist to send me my prescription in the mail. He told me it was ready but would not be put in mail for 4 days because”we are not a mail pharmacy, we don’t have time.” If you have employees upset over their job, not good to take it out on the customers! If you offer a service, it should not be second rate."
"I’ll start with a positive. There’s a woman pharmacist who is absolutely lovely. There’s also a technician who is very kind and friendly. Other than that I’ve had such ridiculous customer service experiences here. Why is it that every young male pharmacy tech is such a condescending jerk? Can you teach these guys some people skills and manners please?"
